Thirty-two (32) farmer-exhibitors showcase their agricultural products during the launching of the Kadiwa sa NIA: Tabo-an at the National Irrigation Administration compound in Gov. Ramos, Sta. Maria Thursday, November 16.
The NIA initiative, which will be held every third Wednesday of the month, aims to make fresh and affordable local agri-fishery products accessible to the public. The same intends to provide Zamboanga farmer associations and cooperatives a regular platform to sell their products.
Mayor John Dalipe, who graced the launching program thanked the NIA-ZAMBASULTA Regional Sub-Office led by Acting Manager Engr. Rex Armentia, for conceptualizing the program citing its potential to unite local farmer-irrigators from both districts 1 and 2 to showcase their agricultural products.
The mayor underscored the role of the farmers to nation building, as he assured his administration’s support to programs and projects aimed to improve the plight of the sector.

Kadiwa sa NIA: Tabo-an is themed “Suporta con de aton mismo, compra maga producto desde local siembradores.”
Participants to the activity represented the different irrigators association from both districts I and II specifically from Lumayang, La paz Km 7&8, Zone 3 Bunguiao, Bunguiao Campana & Seguinan, and Mangga-Bunguiao.
Present during the launching program were Majority Leader District 1 Congressman Mannix Dalipe represented by Jojo Dalipe, District 1 Congressman Khymer Adan Olaso, Council Committee on Agriculture Chair Joselito Macrohon, NIA ZAMBASULTA RSO IDS Head Leni Enriquez, and OIC-City Agriculturist Arben Magdugo.
