Local commerce chamber nominates ZC for 2023 Biz-Friendly LGU Awards

The Zamboanga City Chamber of Commerce led by Atty. Carl Rubio nominates the City Government under the leadership of Mayor John Dalipe for the  2023 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Awards, an annual competition organization by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

The official nomination form was formally signed by Atty. Rubio with Mayor John Dalipe agreeing to the conditions and requirements set for the competition, during the Investment Board meeting in City Hall Wednesday morning, August 2.

The yearly competition entails the presentation of significant initiatives introduced by the LGU to address challenges confronted to increase business operations within the locality. The presentation and interview and the announcement and consequently the conferment of awards is set in October during the PCCI’s 49th Business Conference in Manila.

Other matters discussed during the Investment Board meeting presided by Mayor Dalipe were updates on the Investment Incentive Code, issues faced by local businessmen related to zoning and agricultural lands, introduction of the new president of the Southern Philippines Deep Sea Fishing or SOPHIL and the presentation of assets for public-private partnerships among others.
