As of January 16, 2023, Zamboanga City still remains under the RED ZONE classification of the African Swine Fever (ASF) with a total of reported 4,655 mortalities in 34 Barangays.

The Office of the City Veterinarian in collaboration with the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Office distributed food assistance a total of 919 hog raisers through AICS program. DOLE – TUPAD program have catered 149 hog raisers for their alternative livelihood, where as 253 hog raisers qualified for indemnification.
