Raymond’s Wine and Spirits graciously hosted a wine tasting event at the L’ Meridian Suites, Zamboanga City. Miss Chie Gatchalian acted as the sommelier for the event. Ms. Chie Gatchalian is the esteemed Quality and Education Manager at winery.ph, a leading name in the world of wines. Boasting a rare Level 3 Certification from the Wines and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) in the Philippines, Miss Gatchalian is among the very few who have earned such accreditation. 

The event was attended by different stakeholders in Zamboanga City. Five different kinds of wines were presented during the event; Saltbush Cabernet Sauvignon, Printhie Merlot, Saltbush Chardonnay, Printhie Sauvignon Blanc, Printhie Sparkling. Miss Gatchalian masterfully explained the proper way to enjoy a glass of wine and which wine pairs best with different kinds of food in order to elevate your dining experience.

Although the idea of buying a bottle of wine is intimidating Miss Chie enthusiastically explained that with all the rules that there are when it comes to wine, the most important thing to remember is to just enjoy it and drink it the way you want to, even going as far as sharing that one of her favorite ways to enjoy a glass of wine is with a bag of Cheetos.
