In addition to the usual dive activities, the City Government of Zamboanga through the City Tourism Office included a underwater photography and videography competition in order to showcase the underwater beauty of Sta. Cruz Island.

Sta. Cruz Island is well known for its pinkish sand and crystal-clear waters, but just beneath the water’s surface lays a world filled with vibrant color. Hidden beneath the waves of Sta. Cruz Island rests the most vibrant of corals which adorn the seafloor like a mesmerizing tapestry of colors.
