Today, the City Government of Zamboanga, commemorated the Araw ng Kagitingan or Day of Valor, a day that marks the bravery and heroism of our soldiers who fought and sacrificed their lives for our country’s freedom.
Years ago, our brave soldiers fought against the Japanese Imperial Army in the Battle of Bataan. They were all severely outmatched, outnumbered, and outgunned. Despite the overwhelming odds they did not run and fought to the bitter end for our country’s freedom.
Today, we express our gratitude to all those that came before us and fought for the peace and freedom that we are all priviledged to enjoy today.
