City to roll out SPaSS

Pursuant to the instructions contained in the National IATF Resolution No.101 series 2021 dated February 26, 3021, the Computer Division of the Office of the City Mayor and DOST-9 spearheaded an orientation meeting Thursday, April 8 to roll out the Safe, Swift and Smart Passage or S-PaSS.

The meeting was participated by the CDRRMO representatives and implementing personnel of ZC Task Force COVID-19 Border Control in the seaport, airport and the Licomo Border.

In compliance to the mandate, the City Government of Zamboanga shall adopt S-PaSS as the one-stop-shop application for travelers.

For this purpose, the Head of the City Computer Division and the CDRRM Officer shall act as the focal person and approving authority respectively. Implementing guidelines will be incorporated in an Executive Order on interzonal movement of persons.

S-PaSS was developed by the DOST as an innovative travel management information system for easy coordination in areas with different restrictions, and for local travelers who are returning to or visiting different localities in time for holidays, for vacation or for business.
