CHO administers 40k doses of anti-covid vaccines

Per record from the City Health office, a total of 40, 225 doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Zamboanga City as of May 25, 2021.

Of the total number, 35,936 are first doses while 4,289 are second doses.

For first dose, 10,100 are workers in frontline health services or A1; 10, 382 are senior citizens (A2); 14,539 are individuals with comorbidity (A3) and 915 are frontliner personnel in essential sector (A4).

Of the 4,289 fully vaccinated individuals, 3,579 are under A1; 174 under A2; 2 under A3 and 534 under A4.

Mayor Beng Climaco has urged all residents 18 years old and above to register for vaccination through the online portal www.zambocovax.com or by visiting the nearest health center. Health workers are conducting house-to-house masterlisting activities but not all households may be reached due to some limitations.

The NIATF has committed to increase allocation of vaccines for Zamboanga City in view of the growing COVID-19 cases as well as its because of the importance of the city in Region 9. (Sheila Covarrubias)
