Access road for Azcuna resettlement project in Mercedes breaks ground

Mayor John Dalipe leads the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction, rehabilitation, and improvement of the access road for the Azcuna Resettlement Project in barangay Mercedes Wednesday, May 1.

The groundbreaking ceremony kicks off the implementation of the much awaited project that will ensure enhanced mobility and accessibility for members of the Azcuna Homeowners Association and the neighboring areas.

The May 1 event was made possible through a Usufruct Agreement entered into by stakeholders last April 8, 2021. Mayor Dalipe’s directive for all agencies concerned – the city government, community leaders and city engineers – to ensure collective efforts, expedited the realization of the project.

Present during the groundbreaking ceremony were Councilors Al Jihan Edding, Jordan Evangelista and James Siason, City Engineer Christopher Navarro, Executive Assistant for Urban Poor Affairs Marissa Aizon, Assistant City Human Resource Management Officer Jericho Bustamante, Azcuna Urban Poor Association President Joel Manait and Mercedes Barangay officials, to name a few.
