City releases P3.309M for senior citizens’ cash aid in 4 brgys

In line with Mayor John Dalipe’s initiative to enhance quality of life of senior citizens in the city, the city government Tuesday, September 12 released a total of P3.309M for its ongoing distribution of P1K quarterly cash incentives.

Mayor Dalipe and Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja spearheaded the distribution of the cash incentives for 3,309 senior citizens in 3 sites –  Canelar Covered Court, Sta. Maria Covered Court, and Tumaga Barangay Hall.

Of the total beneficiaries, 628 were from Canelar, 566 from Camino Nuevo, 1,111 from Sta. Maria, and 1,004 from Tumaga.

Each beneficiary received P1K cash as part of the local government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) which aims to support and assist the older members of the community.

The funds distributed will not only provide financial relief for the beneficiaries but also serve as a token of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the city.

Assisting the mayor and vice mayor during the distribution rites were Executive Assistant Amado Natividad Jr., personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and paymasters from the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO). (Bernadeth Lazaro/CMO-PIO)
