139 tourism-oriented establishments licensed

The licenses of at least 139- tourism oriented business establishments have been renewed, giving them the go signal to operate provided they observe the strict minimum health protocols against Covid-19.

 

City Tourism Officer Sarita Sebastian announced this during the virtual press briefing Monday.

 

Of the total licensed tourism-oriented establishments, 25 are hotels and other accommodation establishments, 54 restaurants, 4 resorts, 50 travel and tours and ticketing agencies, and 6 other tourism related businesses.

 

Sebastian said her office has registered 197 visitors at Once Islas (11 Islands) during its first 8-day operation since the covid pandemic broke out.

 

Meanwhile, Sebastian reported that as of this time around 113,253 returning residents, Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APORs) have been processed and allowed entry to the city upon submission of the health travel requirements.

 

The total arrivals included 21,793 locally stranded individuals, 4,929 ROFs and 86,531 APORs.-(Vic Larato)
