Today, one of our WMSU interns, Ms. Yully Jean Sortez, donated a five-peso note from the Ang Bagong Lipunan (ABL) series. The ABL series banknotes symbolize the faith and dedication to the principles of reform and justice of then-President Marcos’ New Society, marking the era of changes in the social, economic, and political structures.
The City Museum still collects paper bills from the ABL series, such as the 100-, 50-, 20-, 10-, and 2-peso denominations, to complete the ABL series collection.
