Mayor Khymer Olaso sends off a humanutarian mission to earthquake-stricken General Santos City, Thursday afternoon, June 11, as a show of solidarity and support to fellow Filipinoes in areas hit by calamities.

The mission, led by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Ofice (CDRRMO), includes a rescue team, relief goods to include rice, canned goods, jerry cans, and other items.

A cash assistance of P1 million is being processed and will be hand carried by CDRRMO head Dr. Elmeir Apolinario to Gen San next week.

“We are sending help to Gen San to help the affected residents ease their burdens, ” the mayor said, as he led the send-off for the 13-man team tpgether with Councilors Gian Enriquez, Atty. Vlad Jimenez and Jordan Evangelista, Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Mayor Celso Lobregat, City Administrator Percival Ramos, City DILG Director Alvin Rex Lucero and some department heads.
