Zamboanga City has fully vaccinated 111% of its target population against COVID-19 as of September 10, 2022, according to the City Health Office (CHO).
In its report during the regular meeting of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Monday, the CHO said 696,536 individuals or 111% have received the 2 primary doses of COVID vaccines since the start of the vaccination rollout last March 2021.
However, of the total number of fully vaccinated individuals, only 210,145 or 34% have received their first booster dose. Second booster dose recipients total 19,101 or 4%.
The CHO continues vaccination rollout on a daily basis through fixed sites, house-to-house and settings-based approach to reach all eligible population. Mayor John Dalipe has initiated the booster incentive program by giving free 5 kilos rice to each individual who avails of first or second booster dose in vaccination sites set up in the Night Markets in Rizal Street and Baban Street in Baliwasan and soon at the Integrated Bus Terminal in Divisoria.
