People from all walks of life trooped to the 115-year old historic City Hall to avail of free services rolled out by the City Government in celebration of the 38th birthday of Mayor John Dalpe Friday, September 16.
The outreach program included free medical consultation, dental services, fasting blood sugar screening, blood-letting and typing and COVID-19 vaccination with free 5 kilos rice for those who availed first or second booster dose as well as the blood donors.
Also available were free legal aid and seedlings and agricultural demonstration.
Mayor John Dalipe, who earlier distributed breakfast meals to patients at the Zamboanga City Medical Center, Labuan General Hospital and the Mindanao Central Sanitarium as a birthday tradition, joined the beneficiaries and the service providers at City Hall around 10am.
The mayor was also given a surprise birthday bash by his staff, City Government departments including the Sangguniang Panlungsod members led by Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja and other well-meaning individuals and supporters and friends.
Meanwhile, Mayor Dalipe was expected to keynote the launching of the Night Market at the Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT) in Divisoria as well as the switch on of Christmas lights Friday night, which is exactly 100 days before Christimas. The Outreach Mission was organized by a committee chaired by City Administrator Mario Yanga and composed of the City Health Office (CHO), City Legal Office (CLO), City Agriculturist Office (CAO), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and key executive assistants.
