Some 23 families with 78 individuals were initially profiled following the fire that broke out past midnight Thursday, October 2 at Fatima Drive, barangay Tetuan.

Authorities also reported that 22 houses were razed to ground with one structure partially damaged as of 2:50am.

As this developed, Mayor Khymer Olaso has directed the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and Tetuan barangay Council led by Chairperson Mariano to ensure assistance and support to the fire-hit families.

Resources from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office were quickly dispatched to augment and assist firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection and City Fire District.

Displaced families are temporarily housed at the Tetuan Central School Gymnasium.
