The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Zamboanga City Office and the city government Tuesday, June 2, kicked off the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) activities in Arena Blanco with the Serbisyo Caravan and Ugnayan sa Barangay, bringing services closer to communities.

Vice Mayor Beng Climaco together with DILG-ZC Director Alvin Rex Lucero welcomed the hundreds of residents who trooped to the Arena Blanco National High School to avail of the services offered snd to participate in other activities conducted under the RCSP.

On behalf of Mayor Khymer Olaso, Vice Mayor Climaco expressed gratitude to the DILG and other partner agencies for bringing government services closer to communities, especially those in far-flung barangays.

On Wednesday, June 3, the RCSP will serve barangay Mampang.

The RCSP includes Ugnayan sa Barangay, service caravans, and town hall meetings designed to provide accessible government services, strengthen community participation, and ensure that the concerns of residents are directly heard and addressed by concerned agencies.

Initiated by the DILG in partnership with the City Government of Zamboanga, the program targets 19 barangays across the city and aims to promote inclusive and sustainable development through strengthened local governance, responsive service delivery, and closer coordination between communities and government agencies.(Sheyn Arambala) (photos: Jennelyn Casido)
