More or less 100 senior citizens availed of free dental and optical services with cataract screening during an outreach mission organized by the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) in partnership with the City Health Office (CHO) and City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) at the CHO conference room, Thursday, March 21.
The outreach activity formed part of the Dalipe administration’s advocacy to maximize benefits for elderly residents. It was on a first-come, first served basis.
Most of those served were residents of barangays under Field Office 2 to include Baliwasan, Sta. Catalina, Sta. Barbara, Rio Hondo, San Jose Gusu, Cawa-Cawa, Kasanyangan, Mariki, Kampung Islam, Sto. Niño, Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, and Zone 4.
The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the elderly population in the city, ensuring their well-being and addressing their medical needs.
The next schedule for the medical mission is tentatively set for April 4 at Barangay Culianan to cater senior citizens under Field Office 5. (Bernadeth Lazaro)
