Fur parents in barangay Boalan and the neighboring barangays benefited from the free anti-rabies vaccination for cats and dogs initiated by the Office of the City Veterinarian (OCVET) Tuesday, July 9.
The Oplan Alis Rabies in Boalan forms part of a massive anti-rabies vaccination campaign aimed to curb rabies transmission and protect both animals and humans. It was spearheaded by the Tumaga OCVET Field Office led by Dr. Reynan King Miculob Jr.
The OCVET emphasizes the importance of community participation in Oplan Alis Rabies 2024, as it encourages pet owners to bring their animals for free vaccination. By ensuring widespread vaccine coverage, residents not only safeguard their pets but also contribute to creating a safer environment for all residents of Zamboanga City.
