The Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) aggressively conducts information campaigns on solid waste management, as the city government is set to fully implement waste segregation starting September 2025.

The information campaign is done in the different barangays in both east and west coasts of the city, in addition to the meeting presided by Mayor Khymer Olaso in City Hall for barangay chairmen from District I and District II.

Participants to the information drives are the barangay chairmen, kagawads, tanods including the different organizations and sectors in the barangays.

Per instruction of Mayor Olaso, waste segregation will be strictly enforced starting September 2025, as part of the city’s efforts to address the mounting garbage problem. (CMO-PIO) (photo credits: OCENR)
