New Zamboangueño Coast Guard officers primed up to serve the country

Mayor John Dalipe extends best wishes to 12 Zamboangueños who are recent graduates of the Coast Guard Officers’ Course (CGOC).

Five of the 12 new Coast Guard officers– Ensigns John Greg Contreras, Chales Calleja, Ralph Bolaño, Jimco Cedrick Fidel and Val Abel Christian Brutas paid Mayor Dalipe a courtesy visit in City Hall last August 27 while on break and in preparation for deployment. They formed part of the CGOC Class 30-2023 Bravo “Hayag Dilaab,” whose graduation was held last August 8 at the PCG Academy in Bagac, Bataan.

Mayor Dalipe commended the new Zamboangueño PCG officers for their hard work and dedication and commitment in surpassing the challenges during the 10-month training. “Good luck in all your future endeavors,” he added.

The CGOC Class 30-2023 Bravo “Hayag-Dilaab” consisted of 314 graduates comingfrom different parts of the country and walks of life. The graduates will be deployed to different units of the PCG across the country.

The Philippine Coast Guard Academy said the graduates are “now full-pledged Coast Guardians who are compassionate enough and full of fuel to serve the country.” “Their acquired skills after being honed by the four corners of the RTC-Bataan will serve as their guide as they navigate the life of being a PCG Officer,” the Academy’s facebook post said.
