Mayor Khymer Olaso graced the inauguration and official grand opening of BYD Zamboanga Peninsula on April 28, 2026, marking the expansion of the electric vehicle brand “Build Your Dreams” in the region.

Mayor Olaso joined officials of BYD Philippines during the ribbon-cutting ceremony and congratulated the company for investing in Zamboanga City, emphasizing that the opening reflects growing business confidence and contributes to economic growth and employment opportunities in the city.
