Some 60 micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the city participated in a day-long activity dubbed “Habits of a Highly Effective Rainmaker”, a workshop cum Business-one-Stop-Shop (BOSS).
Organized by the City Government through the Investment Promotion and Services Division and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the event held July 26, brought together government agencies in one venue to discuss regulatory requirements for MSMEs.
Among those present were the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB).
Ester Perez, owner of Baker’s Field Bizcocho de Zamboanga and a multi-awarded entrepreneur was the main speaker during the morning session. She is a Kapatid Mentor Me graduate turned mentor.
In the afternoon, Nathania Vida Abigail Guiang of the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation facilitated a workshop on Business Continuity where the participants wrote down and presented the challenges they faced in their respective businesses.
