Mayor Khymer Olaso meets newly-appointed Regional Trial Court judges as the latter pay him a courtesy visit in City Hall.

The meeting, that took place Wednesday, August 19 tackled a variety of concerns foremost of which was the need to expedite the construction of the RTC expansion building in light of the creation of additional court salas and the growing case loads.

Mayor Olaso directed City Engineer Chris Navarro to fast track the project and to include in the final phase of the project a budget allocation for the installation of fire/emergency staircases and air-conditioning units to ensure a more functional and safer working environment.

The RTC expansion building is intended to house additional court branches to accommodate the newly-appointed judges as well as the growing caseloads. The construction of the facility began during the administration of then Mayor Ma. Isabelle Climaco.

Present during the courtesy visit were Judge Norma Usin-Usman of Branch 34, and newly-appointed judges including Judge Aureen Deles of Branch 38, Judge Jules Christian Marcos of Branch 41, Judge Manuel Wee Sit of Branch 40, and Judge Timhar Asdaon of Branch 39.
