Mayor Khymer Olaso convenes the Executive Committee of the City Development Council and the Local Finance Committee Tuesday afternoon, August 19, to finalize the proposed supplemental Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) and Annual Investment Plan (AIP) prior to submission to the City Council for approval.
The meeting discussed in detail the key components of the Supplemental AIP No. 1 for 2025 and the amended component of the 2023-2025 LDIP No. 1.
The LDIP, a strategic plan covering a three-year programming period, and the annually updated AIP are fundamental to the formulation of the City’s Supplemental Budget. The proposed AIP allocates a total of P1.417 billion, with P719 million dedicated to infrastructure projects, P580 million for Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE), P88 million for equipment procurement, and P29 million for personal services.
Funding for Supplemental LDIP and AIP will be sourced from current and continuing legislative appropriations under the General Fund-Proper and the 20% Development Fund.
Mayor Olaso and Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Mayor, Celso Lobregat urged all concerned offices, especially the City Engineer’s Office to ensure accuracy and fairness in cost estimates, emphasizing that purchases and plans must reflect reasonable pricing to prevent any anomalies under the Olaso Administration.
Meanwhile, the proposed supplemental LDIP and AIP will be endorsed to the City Council by Friday, August 22 for its inclusion in the agenda for deliberation during the Council session on Wednesday, August 27, in compliance with Section 111(b)(2,3) of the Local Government Code.
