Mayor Khymer Olaso personally facilitates response and attends to the needs of the families affected by the landslide in barangay Sibulao Tuesday night, August 19.

The mayor expressed condolences to the Andico family for the loss of Carmelita, 40 and Karen, 9 who were buried alive by the landslide, as he tasked City Social Welfare and Development Office Chief Socorro Rojas to provide the necessary assistance to the Andico family and to 46 other families affected by the incident.

Prior to the Sibulao landslide incident, Mayor Olaso was in barangay Bunguiao where authorities seized 67 kilos of suspected shabu during an operation that resulted to the arrest of the suspect.

Olaso declared anew his zero-tolerance policy on illegal drugs, as he lauded the operatives involved in the successful anti-drug operation in Bunguiao. (Sheila Covarrubias)
