Mayor John Dalipe and Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja spearhead the blessing and turnover of the columbarian in Mampang aimed to provide an ideal peaceful resting place for the departed, Wednesday, May 22.
The facility and its site development cost a total of P18 million. It was undertaken by Y.N. Builders with supervision from the City Engineer’s Office (CEO).
The City Columbarium, which is constructed in a 705-square meter area, will house 1,320 cubicles or niches with a capacity of 3 urns per cubicle. It is located in Mampang where the City Crematorium, unveiled the same day, is located.
Like the city crematorium, the columbarium project started on November 1, 2021 and was completed on August 31, 2022. The site development began on March 24, 2022 and was completed on July 8, 2022. (photo credits: Kathy Wee Sit)
