In line with Mayor Khymer Olaso’s directives on good governance and accountability, Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Mayor Celso Lobregat together with personnel from the City Engineer’s Office, CDRRMO and Camino Nuevo Barangay Officials led by Chairperson Tony Deles, inspect 2 drainage projects in Camino Nuevo amounting to P39.4 million, Wednesday night, October 1.

During the inspection it was discovered that water flow was clogged by construction debris and other waste materials left by the contractor, prompting Lobregat to instruct personnel to open manholes to clear and ensure water drains properly in the drainage system before acceptance of the project.

Water flushing was done and random checking of manholes was conducted to ensure water drains properly and smoothly without any obstruction and clogging.

Under existing policies, city government projects should be inspected and verified and ensure that they are 100 percent complete and done according to plans and specifications, according to Lobregat. (photo credits: Dexter Atilano)
