Mayor John Dalipe together with Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja leads the rollout of free government services to residents of barangay Labuan, the fourth of a series of Justo y Decente Ayuda na Barangay Program (JD Program), Saturday, February 17.

The initiative brings government closer to the people, offering free services ranging from medical to legal, civil registration, veterinary, agricultural, social services and many more. Other agencies also participated – PAG-IBIG Fund,
Philhealth, ZCPO, Red Cross Zamboanga City, DOH and PCGA- 302nd Battalion, and numerous others.

Dalipe stressed that his administration envisions a government that is accessible to all as part of his mandate to creating a better system where aid is readily available to the people.

As this developed, Labuan Kagawad Oning Maravilla expressed gratitude to Mayor Dalipe and the city government for choosing Labuan as the beneficiary of the JD program, citing its impact on the residents, especially the indigents and the vulnerable.

The first 3 JD Program rollouts were in barangays Tugbungan, Baliwasan and Maasin. (Sheila Covarrubias)
