Close to 200 indigent families in the remote village of Pasobolong in the east coast benefited from the Health Caravan organized by the Philippine Red Cross-Zamboanga Chapter (PRC-ZC) in partnership with the City Health Office (CHO) and other agencies and with support from the Australian Aid, Sunday, March 24.
A range of essential medical services to include health consultation with free medicines, blood typing, dental consultation with extraction, free haircut and first aid lectures and demonstrations were offered during the day-long caravan held at the Pasobolong Integrated School covered court.
Hot meals were also provided to those who availed of the services.
Recruitment and orientation on various programs such as the Red Cross143, Medical Corps and Membership Accident Assistance Benefits (MAAB) membership program, were likewise conducted.
On behalf of his constituents, Pasobolong Barangay Chair Romel Francisco expressed profound gratitude to the organizers for the free services rolled out in his barangay that benefited indigent families from Zones 1 to 6. He said the different services provided will be a great help to the residents.
The health caravan was also made possible with the support from various private groups and companies to include PathFinder Pharmaceuticals, OK Department Store, Ateneo De Zamboanga School of Medicine, Santos Family Dentist, MX3, 55th Special Action Company (SAC), 84th SAC and Alavar Seafoods.
