Mayor Khymer Olaso and Vice Mayor Beng Climaco lead city government employees in the celebration of the first Friday mass at the City Hall lobby, October 3 with Rev. Fr. Michael Gementiza of the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception as main celebrant.
The first Friday mass for the month of October was the fourth since the start of Mayor Olaso’s administration. Joining the mayor and vice mayor during the mass were City Administrator Percival Ramos, Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Mayor Celso Lobregat and city department heads.
In his homily, Fr. Gementiza spoke about the dangers of greed, calling it a “bottomless pit that can never be satisfied.”
The First Friday Mass remains a tradition of faith and reflection at City Hall, uniting leaders, employees, and guests in prayer and service.
