The Talon-talon Super Health Center is fully complete. It was inaugurated Thursday afternoon, January 9 in ceremonies spearheaded by Health Undersecretary Achilles Gerald Bravo, Mayor John Dalipe and Majority Leader and District II Congressman Mannix Dalipe.
Funded by the Department of Health at a cost of P11.5 million, the newly constructed advanced facility marks the third Super Health Center facility in the city, and is expected to benefit not only residents of Talon-Talon but also neighboring barangays, including nearby island communities.
Just like the first 2 super health centers located in Sangali and Manicahan, the Talon-Talon Super Health Center will also provide essential health services, including dental care, birthing facilities, laboratory examination, X-ray, ECGs, ultrasound, and even minor surgical operation.
This expansion in healthcare services aims to bring critical medical care closer to rural communities, aligning with the government’s commitment to equitable healthcare.
In his remarks, Mayor John Dalipe thanked President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Speaker Martin Romualdez, and the DOH, represented by Internal Management Cluster USec. Achilles Gerald Bravo and DOH Area for Mindanao Concurrent Head USec. Abdullah Dumama Jr. for their unwavering support in realizing the project.
“What was once a distant dream for many is now a reality. Hinde mas ustedes anda lejos, taki ya kame ya lleva mas serca con vosotros,” Dalipe stressed, emphasizing how the center will provide accessible, high quality healthcare in Talon-Talon and nearby communities.
The establishment of the Talon-Talon Super Health Center represents a significant step forward in providing equitable healthcare services to underserved communities in the city.
