DILG turns over 2 vehicles for traffic enforcement

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)- city office turned over to the local government unit 2 L-300 vehicles Thursday as part of the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) the latter received for passing the Seal of Good Local Government (SGLG) assessment in 2016.

City DILG Director Ginagene Vaño-Uy with DILG Operations Chief Jun Cillo turned over the vehicles to Mayor Beng Climaco, Vice Mayor Rommel Agan, Councilor Josephine Pareja and City Administrator Apple Go Thursday morning after the meeting of the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) in City Hall.

The funds used for the acquisition of the vehicles came from the 2016 Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) in the amount of P3.4M. The PCF is an award to LGUs that have passed the SGLG.

The L300 vans are in support of the city’s Traffic Management program which is a priority thrust of Mayor Climaco under the Security Health and Education (SHE) program.

The 2 vehicles are in addition to the 2 drones and 4-L300 vans which were already turned over last 2018. (Sheila Covarrubias)
