The DILG-led 3rd Quarter Barangay Clearing Operations (BARCO) continue in the different barangays following its kick-off last September 16.
The BARCO, implemented by the Composite Validation and Assessment Task Team (CVATT) led by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-City Office) and the city government includes validation of the Hapag (Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas ay Gulay) and Kalinisan programs.
The areas covered since Sept. 16 included barangays Zone I, Zone 2, and San Roque; Camino Nuevo, Zone 3 and Tumaga on Sept. 17; Canelar and Sto,. Nino on Sept. 18; Tugbungan and Cabatangan on Sept. 19; Arena Blanco, San Jose Gusu and Lunzuran on Sept. 22; Sinunuc and Recodo on Sept. 23; and Labuan, Patalon and Limpapa on Sept. 24.
The operations will run until October 8, 2025 and is purposely to remove obstructions and encroachments on public roads to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
The CVATT is composed of different agencies to include the Barangay Affairs Division, Liga ng mga Barangay, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Public Works and Highways, Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Administrator’s Office, City Engineer’s Office and the DILG-City Office.
