Mayor John Dalipe vowed on Monday that his administration will continue to advance housing and urban development, ensuring that every Zamboangueño will have the opportunity to build a brighter in the city.
Dalipe made the promise as he addressed the participants of the Housing Fair 2023 at KCC Mall in celebration of the National Shelter Month with this year’s theme “Pambansang Pabahay Matibay na Saligan ng Mapayapang Pamayanan.”
He said his administration has long recognized the vital role that housing and urban development play in building a better future for Zamboanga City.
“We are fully committed to advancing this critical aspect of our community as we firmly believe that every Zamboangueño deserve a decent place or home,” Dalipe said.
“Our focus extends far beyond the needs for shelters; it is about building homes and fostering communities where our families can thrive in an environment with peace and security,” he added.
The local chief executive was grateful to all government agencies, developers, financial institutions and other stakeholders for working together tirelessly to address the housing needs of informal settlers, low-income families and other vulnerable sectors in ensuring their access to affordable models.
According to him, the housing fair was a testament to all partners’ commitment to work together in sharing ideas and exploring innovative solutions to the housing and urban development challenges.
“Let us stand united in our quest to build a peaceful and inclusive community. ‘Pambansang Pabahay Matibay na Saligan ng Mapayapang Pamayanan’ is not just as a theme. It is our shared vision for a stronger and more prosperous Zamboanga City,” Dalipe underscored.—[Vic Larato]
