The City Government led by Mayor John Dalipe turns over another infrastructure project Thursday, May 23, this time, the newly-constructed fire sub-station (FSS) in barangay San Jose Gusu.
Costing P2.69 million, the San Jose Gusu facility is the 23 rd FSS to be operational in the city. It spans 67.54 square meters and was built by PM Construction and Trading under the close supervision of the City Engineer’s Office.
The project is another testament of the Dalipe administration’s massive infrastructure program for the progress and development of the city.
Mayor John Dalipe underscored the significance of the fire sub-station as it provides critical services to the residents of barangay San Jose Gusu, as well as the other neighboring barangays.
Reaffirming his commitment to the barangays, Mayor Dalipe also announced plans to further support San Jose Gusu with the provision of a new garbage truck this year and a new fire truck next year.
The turnover ceremony kicked off with the blessing rites officiated by Rev. Fr. Marcelito Salatan. It was highlighted by the symbolic fire hose coupling ceremony.
The new fire sub-station is expected to significantly improve fire safety and emergency response and ultimately ensure public safety.
