Dalipe to contractors: Expedite road projects

Due to mounting complaints, Mayor John Dalipe Tuesday morning gathered contractors, utility companies and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and City Engineer’s Office (CEO) to apprise him on the progress of all ongoing infrastructure projects including excavations on city roads located within the 7-kilometer radius from the city proper.

This, as the mayor ordered the agencies concerned to speed up the implementation of these infrastructure projects due to the inconvenience it causes on the public.

The excavations on the other hand, are not only eye sores but pose risks to commuters and motorists as well, according to the mayor.

Dalipe said he wants ongoing road and drainage projects to be completed the soonest possible time, as residents complain of the inconveniences c

Also present during the meeting at the City Hall conference room were the mayor’s executive assistants, the City Treasurer and City Budget Officer among others. (Sheila Covarrubias)
