Dalipe seeks CENRO survey of City Hall, main market

The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) started Monday the conduct of surveys for the titling of the lots where the City Hall including the main public market, Plaza Pershing, Plaza Roma and Rizal Park are located.

This, based on a request of Mayor John Dalipe who found out that the said government properties have no land titles yet.

“Sabe ustedes, for the information of everyone, ese onde kita ta man office, pate maga otro government area, nuay pa se titulo. So to make it formal, today man start el conduct del survey para ese maga titulo puede ya pone na nombre del Ciudad de Zamboanga,” the mayor told City Government workers during Monday’s flag raising ceremony.

The mayor met the CENRO team led by Jaime Salvador after the flag ceremony to discuss the details of his request. Present during the meeting were City Legal Officer Atty. Haydee Panganiban and City Engineer Christopher Navarro.

In an interview, Salvador said the conduct of the survey is intended to locate the actual boundary of City Hall and the other areas mentioned and to recommend for the title and approval of the survey.

He said his team will recommend for the issuance of special patent, a public instrument issued by the government to confirm ownership over a parcel of land. Salvador suggested that the City Government assign a focal person to focus on the progress of the survey and the eventual finalization of the mapping and endorsement to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for approval.
