Mayor John Dalipe Tuesday morning handed over P100K cash reward each to 3 police stations for doing a great job in nuetralizing suspects in various shooting incidents in the city.
The presentation of the reward was held at the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) conference room, in the presence of Acting City Police Director PCol Kimberly Molitas.
The recipients were Police Station 4 through Commander PCPT. Chris John Riego Sundayan, Police Station 5 through Commander PMaj. Pocholo Rolando Guerero, and Police Station 8 through Commander Jovanie Julian.
Mayor Dalipe lauded the ZCPO led by Col. Molitas for its diligence and dedication in curbing criminals in the city.
The reward is part of the local government’s broader initiative to encourage more efficient law enforcement and reward officers who excel in their duties.
The arrest of suspects in various shooting incidents is a significant achievement in the city’s ongoing efforts to stem criminality, with Mayor Dalipe giving his full support to the police force to ensure the safety and security of Zamboanga City.
According to records, a total of 16 gunmen were already arrested since Molitas assumed her post.
Col. Molitas, meanwhile thanked the city government for its unwavering support, as she reiterated the police force’s commitment to continue operations until they account for the last gunman involved in all shooting incidents in the city. (Bernadeth Lazaro)
