Mayor John Dalipe graced the Livestock and Poultry Fair Monday as he cited the vital role of farmers and breeders in ensuring a stable food supply for the city.
Organized by the Office of the City Veterinarian in collaboration with JCI Zamboanga and other groups, the Livestock and Poultry Fair kicked off Monday, Oct. 9 and culminated Tuesday, Oct. 10 with the Asao Lechon Festival at the Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT) in Divisoria.
“As we explore the Livestock and Poultry Fair, let us appreciate the hard work and dedication of our farmers and breeders who play a vital role in ensuring a steady supply of quality products for our city,” the mayor said.
He emphasized that the fair is not just an exhibition but a celebration of the efforts and the vibrant spirit of the livestock and poultry sector. The fair, which is done every year during the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival is intended to help promote and contribute to the growth of the agriculture industry in the city. (Sheila Covarrubias)
