Carol Julianne “CJ” Dalipe of Tetuan was elected Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President for the period 2023 to 2025 during elections facilitated by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) at a local hotel in Gov Camins, Tuesday, November 14.
With her election, Ms. Dalipe, a niece of Mayor John Dalipe, will sit as ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod representing the youth sector. She will succeed Councilor Carry John Pioc.
The other elected Federation officers were Raihan Mohammad Nur of Tigtabon as Vice President; Jolane Toribio of Mercedes as Secretary; Loyd Angelo Santos of Lumbangan as Treasurer; Keisha- Ma. Kariel Ledesma of Sangali as Auditor; Jhiro Gabriel Cruzat of Divisoria as Public Relations Officer or PRO; and Francis Vic Luna of Lanzones and Mohammad Sahi Tama of Campo Islam as Sergeants at Arms.
Mayor John Dalipe administered the oath of office of the new set of youth officers.
In his message, the mayor assured his all-out support to all projects and programs of the SK Federation for the best interest of the youth sector in the city.
Witnesses during the oath-taking ceremony were Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja, City Secretary Atty. Kenneth Beldua and DILG’s Jun Cillo. The Election Committee, which oversaw the polls was composed of Wendie Lyn Mepranum of Zambowood as Chairperson with Geric Mari Gonzales of Sta Maria and Jayfrie Tubo of Talon-Talon as members.
