The city government through the City Human Resource and Management Office (CHRMO) on Monday, September 22, launched the ‘SAFE Program,’ a flagship initiative aimed at improving public service and promoting excellence among its workforce.

SAFE stands for Serve with a Smile, Assist with Care, Foster Collaboration, and Ensure Ease. It serves as a framework for shaping courteous, compassionate, cooperative and efficient government service. It was launched during the flag-raising rites held at the City Hall grounds.

Mayor Khymer Olaso and Vice Mayor Beng Climaco expressed full support for the initiative, describing it as a reflection of the local government’s dedication to responsive and values-driven leadership.

CHRMO officials emphasized that the program is not merely symbolic but a call for personnel to embody its guiding principles in their daily functions, ensuring a better experience for the public.

Also present during the launch were Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Mayor Celso Lobregat, City Administrator Percival Ramos, and City Department Heads, who joined Mayor Olaso and Vice Mayor Climaco in affirming their support for the program. (Arvin Midel) (photo credits: Kathy Wee Sit)
