Effective Monday, June 13, the City’s Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) will be operating year-round in Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar in line with the provisions of Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business Act of 2018.
BOSS will operate from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and will accept all business permit transactions.
The Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) is a streamlined system for business permits registration and renewal which puts all government agencies involved in the renewal and registration of all kinds of business permits and licenses in one venue.
Spearheaded by the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), the BOSS will include the following offices – City Treasurer’s Office, City Engineer’s Office, City Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office, City Health Office, City Agriculturist Office, City Veterinarian office, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Transactions related to other permits such as occupational permits will be entertained at the BPLO in City Hall.
Recall that last May, the frontline agencies and offices under the BOSS convened to discuss efforts to improve business registration and renewal processes and ensure compliance with national ease-of-doing business guidelines.
The meeting also took up the ongoing status of the proposed BOSS building as well as the operationalization of the Business One Stop Shop all-year round, in compliance with RA 11032, otherwise known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
