The rescue team that Mayor Khymer Olaso dispatched for a humanitarian mission to quake-hit Bogo City has arrived Cebu earlier tonight.

The team, led by Abdel Kanti of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, is currently coordinating with representatives from the Provincial Government Command Center for check-in procedures.

Mayor Olaso has swiftly dispatched the team Wednesday night as a show of solidarity and and as part of the city’s commitment to provide immediate aid to people impacted by calamity.

The Zamboanga team is composed of rescuers, doctors, nurses and social workers. It is also bringing along relief goods to include rice, canned goods, and water, for families affected by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake. (CMO-PIO) (photo credits: Zcdrrmo Zamboangacity)
