The city government under the leadership of Mayor John Dalipe is gearing up for ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001-2015 certification, with ultimate goal of improving quality management system.
Upon instructions of Mayor Dalipe, Assistant City Administrator Dolph Saavedra Monday morning met with city department heads and key ISO core members to iron out details of the ongoing assessment and awareness trainings that city government officials and personnel underwent since April 22.
Recall that Mayor Dalipe in his state of the city address (SOCA) last year promised to work hard to promote standardization of management systems and processes and to boost employee performance and productivity by transitioning to ISO 9001:2015.
The journey to ISO standardization with DAP consultants is set to take 8 months leading up to the accreditation phase. It is pursuant to a memorandum of agreement entered into by the city government and DAP.
DAP is a government-owned and controlled corporation with an original charter under PD No. 2015, with mandates focused on approaches to national development. (CMO-PIO)
