Mayor John Dalipe joined the Zamboanga City Convergence of Women Leaders in turning over clearing cleaning paraphernalia to the Zamboanga City Central School – SPED Center, Wednesday morning, July 24, in line with the ongoing Brigada Eskwela 2024 program of the Department of Education.
The cleaning gears, consisting of dustpans, hard brooms, paints, and rakes were donated by Majority Leader and District II Cong. Mannix Dalipe through the facilitation of the Convergence of Women Leaders.
Mayor Dalipe expressed full support to the conduct of Brigada Eskwela as he reiterated commitment to his administration’s advocacy for quality education in the city. He likewise stressed the need for all stakeholders to continue collaboration even after Brigada Eskwela.
The turnover ceremony was also joined by Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja, OIC City Police Director Col. Kimberly Molitas, Executive Assistant Marisa Aizon and Violy Alejandro of the Convergence of Women Leaders, Central School teachers and parents and guardians.
Brigada Eskwela 2024 runs from July 22 to 2 and is themed “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan.” It is a nationwide initiative that invites community members, especially the parents to lend their time, expertise, and materials to public school preparation in advance of the incoming academic year.
