As part of the city’s priority thrust in education under the Security, Health and Education (SHE) program, Mayor Beng Climaco on Friday turned over to the Department of Education and Manicahan Central School administration a bleacher project worth P2.929M.
Funded by the city government, the bleacher project at the covered court, was undertaken by a private construction firm under the supervision of the City Engineer’s Office. It is intended to ensure comfort and convenience to students and spectators during sports and other social activities held at the covered court.
The project turnover was held coinciding with the conduct of the Dia del Alcalde, a free service caravan benefitting hundreds of indigent families who seldom have access to government services.
Mayor Climaco assured that her administration will continue to implement projects and programs in pursuit of the SHE program thrust.
She identified the different projects implemented and lined up for implementation in the barangay as she reaffirmed her commitment to the barangays as well as to education to ensure a better future for the children.
Meanwhile, the Dia del Alcalde held at the Manicahan Central School covered court rolled out services that included medical and dental, civil registry, agricultural demonstrations, veterinary including free hair cut as well as eye consultation and eye glasses.
Among the departments that roll out services during the regular Dia del Alcalde are the City Health office, City Agriculturist Office, City Veterinary office, City Civil Registrar’s Office, City Mayor’s Office including the Task Force Zamboanga personnel and Dr. Bangongon and staff and numerous others.
