A City Veterinary Clinic and Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory will soon rise in the City Abattoir compound in San Roque in line with the city’s thrust to upgrading animal health services.

Mayor Beng Climaco together with City Veterinarian Dr. Mario Arriola Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022 led the groundbreaking rites for the Vet Clinic and Animal Laboratory jumpstarting the project.

The City Government has earmarked P20 million for the project which is included in the 2019 Executive Legislative Agenda (ELA) which was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project will upgrade existing veterinary services offered by the OCVET and will cater walk-in patients. It will be a comprehensive veterinary services for cats and dogs and other pets. Also present during the ground breaking ceremony Tuesday were representatives from the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS-9), City Engineer’s Office, Department of Agriculture (DA-RADDL9) and Assistant City Veterinarian Dr. Arnedo Agbayani and OCVET staff.
