The National Housing Authority (NHA) Friday, April 12, releases P1.54 million through its Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) for 154 families who were affected by fire incidents in various barangays in the city.
The beneficiaries were identified by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), with each beneficiary receiving P10K.
As this developed, Mayor John Dalipe, who joined the distribution of the cash aid at the Labuan covered court expressed gratitude to the NHA through General Manager Joeben Tai, and Region 9 and BARMM Regional Manager Al Indanan for stepping in to provide the much needed assistance to residents affected by calamity.
Dalipe said the program highlights the collaborative effort between the local and national governments to support those in need during difficult times. He said the cash aid will surely help the fire victims in their recovery and rebuilding efforts as they work to overcome the challenges brought about by the disaster.
Of the total recipients, 44 were from Baliwasan, 17 from Recodo, 20 from Calarian, 14 from Malagutay, 3 from Tumaga, 1 from Cabatangan, 1 from Capisan, 1 from San Roque, 2 from San Jose Gusu, 4 from Canelar, 4 from Kampung Islam, 2 from Pasonanca, and 41 from Labuan.
Present during the distribution were GM's office PSCO Consultant Katrina Reiko Tai, NHA Zamboanga District Officer in Charge Atty. John Louie Rebollos, Labuan Barangay Chairman Ron Carlo Maravilla, personnel from the CSWDO and NHA staff, and various others. (Bernadeth Lazaro) (photo
