In a bid to address the housing backlog, the city government through the Housing and Land Management Division (HLMD) intensifies the conduct of information caravan on the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) program as well as the Community Mortgage Program and Direct Purchase Negotiated for land acquisition.
Last Monday, April 8, the HLMD team engaged the different department heads and division chiefs under the City Government during the info car held at the City Hall conference room.
4PH is the socialized housing scheme initiated by the Marcos administration to address the housing backlog in the country. In Zamboanga City, there are 2 private proponents for the project – Vinta Residencia in barangay Salaan with Metro Stonerich Corp. As the developer/ contractor, and Dream Residences in barangay Divisoria undertaken by the Dream Homes Realty and Development Corp. As contractor.
The 4PH program implementation in the ccity is based on a tripartite agreement entered into by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Pag-Ibig Fund and the City Government of Zamboanga last January 2023.
Meanwhile, in addition to the 4PH Program, the HLMD team also discussed with department heads and division chiefs about the city’s Community Mortgage Program (CMP) and Direct Purchase Negotiated (DPN) for land acquisition.
In the past days, info caravans were also held in national government offices The HLMD info car team consists of its OIC head Hassan Lakibul, 4PH focal person Claire Pesebre, Housing and Homesite Regulation Officer I Romualda Item, and NZIAP Lian Tarroza and Recelie Mejares. (Sheila Covarrubias)
